ABOUT

Daniel de Jesús is a multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between visual art, music, and narrative. His paintings and illustrations draw from medieval and baroque traditions, Latin American devotional imagery, and mystical philosophy. His music and writing expand these same themes through voice, strings, and sound.

Across mediums, his work investigates identity, spirituality, and the psychological life of transformation. Many projects address queer experience, colonial history, and the spiritual language of ecstasy, devotion, and transcendence.

Rather than separate disciplines, Daniel treats each medium as a tool for storytelling. Paintings, songs, images, and performances form a single body of work that examines the interior life and the forces that shape it.

Through Daniel de Jesús Arts et Musica, he creates works that invite reflection on history, the sacred, and the emotional depths of human experience.

Arts et Musica

Mission

Daniel de Jesús Arts et Musica exists to share stories through image, sound, and symbol. The work centers on the inner life. Paintings, illustrations, music, writing, and moving images serve one purpose. Each work opens a space where viewers encounter memory, history, identity, and the emotional life of the body.

The studio presents work rooted in Caribbean and Latin American history and in the lived experience of a Hispanic artist in the United States. The work draws from colonial archives, spiritual traditions, and cultural memory. These sources meet medieval and Renaissance visual language, sacred iconography, and mystical literature.

Through these influences, the work explores themes of queerness, faith, transformation, repression, devotion, and awakening. Saints, martyrs, mystics, lovers, and mythic figures appear as guides through the human psyche. Their stories mirror modern struggles with identity, longing, anxiety, and the search for transcendence.

Every medium serves the same goal. Painting, illustration, music composition, digital imagery, animation, and design form a single artistic practice. Each discipline offers a different path into the same interior world.

Daniel de Jesús Arts et Musica invites the audience into intimate encounters with the unseen. The work treats art as ritual, reflection, and inquiry into the human condition.
